• Reading and Writing: This section consists of three parts and assesses a candidate's ability to read and understand written English texts and to write simple messages and essays in English. Part 1: Multiple-choice comprehension questions based on short texts Part 2: A matching exercise based on a longer text, where candidates must match sentences to the correct part of the text Part 3: Writing a short email, note or message based on a given prompt

Part 1: A personal conversation with the examiner Part 2: A task where candidates describe two photographs and answer a question about them Part 3: A collaborative task where candidates work with a partner to describe and discuss a set of photographs Part 4: A discussion with the examiner on a topic related to Part 3
